The Rotary Club of Strathendrick
on the
edge of Scotlands first national park Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
Welcome To Our Website
From our President Colin Dick
The club meets at the Black Bull Hotel Killearn every Monday at 6.30 pm for 7.00 pm
Our Rotary Club was formed in 1977 and we currently have 41 members, including 3 ladies. The Club’s catchment area is the valley of the Endrick Water. Strathendrick lies between the head of the Carron Valley in the east and Loch Lomond in the west, it is sometimes referred to in literature as “Sweet Innerdale” Membership is welcome from the following villages: Balfron, Blanefield, Buchlyvie, Drymen, Fintry, Killearn, Strathblane. If you are a local resident and have been considering widening your circle of friends whilst helping the local community and those less fortunate than ourselves overseas possibly you may like to join our Club.
Who are Rotarians
Rotary International is a worldwide organisation of Clubs whose members are all of a like mind in their desire to serve their fellow human beings and to do all they can to relieve some of the problems which people face throughout the world. Rotarians are members of Rotary Clubs – they are male or female, no age, colour, creed or race restrictions exist to preclude membership of any Rotary Club. All Rotarians are, or were, employed in a vocation which would see them as self employed or in a decision making position within their employment. Meetings are held weekly, usually over a meal when members have the opportunity to enjoy each others company in a social and pleasant atmosphere.
