So far this year we have had a very successful Golf Am Am in August, a Bridge night in October in aid of local Charities, with the help of Inner Wheel raised over £900 and in December we took 24 Senior Citizens, Christmas shopping to Stirling. Coming up in 2010 is a Community Concert on 31st March in Killearn Village Hall, music provided as always by Central Scotland Police Ceildhe Band, on 7th April 2010 another Bridge night, 25th April the Classic Car Tour and the Golf Am Am is on 14th August. A busy year ahead.

In 1996 The Club decided to run a Golf Competition, the object of the event being to raise funds for Charity Donations. Hence 1996 saw the beginning of:
THE ROTARY CLUB OF STRATHENDRICK ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF AM AM COMPETITION AT THE SHIAN GOLF COURSE BALFRON
Thirteen years later this annual event is still taking place on the second Saturday in August. To date nearly £80,000 has been raised to donate to charities as a result. In 1996 some £900 was raised and this has increased year by year and in 2009 we raised over £11,000.
In 2009, 195 competitors took part in teams of three and the winning team was: William McKay, Frank Walker and Christie Wilson.
The Rotary Club of Strathendrick is most grateful to The Balfron Golf Society for the facility of their beautiful course on a busy Saturday in August. If you are in the area and would like to play this exceptional course Balfron Golf Society may be contacted via: www.balfrongolfsociety.org.uk
Our thanks also go to over 120 sponsors, all the members of The Rotary Club of Strathendrick, their wives, partners and friends together with the many non Rotarian helpers who work so hard and do so much to make this event successful. This year's AM AM will take place on the Saturday 14th August 2010.
