The Rotary Club of Strathendrick
on the
edge of Scotlands first national park Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
International Service Committee
Chairman - Joe Norman
The Committee is dedicated to supporting a number of charities who provide help to those in need.
These Charities include:
www.wateraid.org is a leading independent organisation which enables the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.
www.sightsavers.org works to combat blindness in developing countries. They help people who need it most – those living in poverty in the world’s poorest countries.
www.school4all.org.uk A Leonard Cheshire Disability Fund to provide a school for disabled children in Africa.
The Club will continue to support the provision of shelter boxes, aquaboxes, and shoeboxes, hopefully with the help of local schools to provide humanitarian aid to people displaced by natural and other disasters.
Rotary is working to rid the world of polio within the next year and we shall help to support that aim through a donation to the Rotary Foundation Charity.
Our Committee is also planning a Classic Car Tour to be held on April 25th 2010 to raise funds.
